Have you ever had to give a dog to a pound or rescue program? If so, why?
Where will the puppy be kept during the day? During the night? Where will the puppy be kept when nobody is home? How many hours per day will the puppy be home alone?
Do you own your home or rent? Please describe your yard. If you have no fence or kennel run what are your plans for controlling your puppy outside your house?
Weimaraners require a lot of exercise on a daily basis and are not a great match for homes that do not have the time or ability to provide sufficient exercise. How do you plan on exercising your Weimaraner? What type of exercise and how often?
Are you financially prepared for the expenses of a dog? These can include emergency vet bills up to $5,000 or more if your pup swallows a rock or a fish hook etc. Will you be purchasing pet health insurance?
Do you have children? What are their ages? Which member of the household will have primary reponsibility for taking care of the puppy?
Briefly describe your experience in training a dog. Include both methods and results. If you have not had any experience, how do you plan on learning?
Have you had any experience in AKC/CKC events? If so, please describe. If not please indicate any events in which you would be interested in learning how to compete. Would you be willing to have someone else show your dog at an AKC/CKC show or field event?
What are you thoughts on spaying and neutering? Have you ever bred a dog in the past? If yes, please describe the situation. Are you interested in breeding your Weimaraner? If yes, what would be your reason for breeding?
